Ryan Garcia has been expelled from the World Boxing Council by its president Mauricio Sulaiman after posting a series of racial slurs on social media.
It comes after another day of troubling social media activity from the 25-year-old American, in which he posted the word ‘n****’, made disparaging comments about Muslims and made reference to sex trafficking and pedophilia.
Garcia, 25, is currently serving a year-long suspension from the New York State Athletic Commission after testing positive for PED ostarine before his dominant upset over Devin Haney on April 20 at Barclays Center.
Sulaiman posted on X on Thursday night: ‘Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization.
‘We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse’.

Ryan Garcia claims he was ‘high as f***’ during Devin Haney win
Garcia later posted an apology, writing: ‘I was trolling I want all the killing to stop.
‘I love everyone sorry if I offended you.’
Garcia’s family also put distance between themselves and the boxing, saying his recent antics ‘do not align with his, or our family’s, true character or beliefs.’
‘Our family unequivocally does not support any statements [Garcia] has made regarding race or religion – these do not reflect who Ryan truly is and how he was raised,’ the family’s statement said.
‘Those who know Ryan can attest to this fact. Ryan has been open about his ongoing struggle with mental health over the years and as a family we are committed to ensuring and encouraging that he receives the necessary help to navigate this very challenging time and address both his immediate and long-term well-being.’
Earlier this week, Garcia revealed that he ‘finally’ has a girlfriend before posting pictures with a mystery woman on his X account.
While his boxing career is on pause, Garcia’s dating life remains active, as he claimed: ‘I finally got a girlfriend that’s dope.’
Just over an hour later, Garcia posted pictures with the presumed partner. Garcia shared a selfie with the curly-haired brunette and another snap of them kissing.
‘I’m happy,’ Garcia captioned as his ‘girlfriend’ shows off her neck tattoos and tongue piercings. The Victorville, California native also appears to have a hickey on his neck.

Watch Ryan Garcia try stand-up comedy after his boxing ban
Garcia’s love life has been a rollercoaster since he filed for divorce from ex-wife Andre Celina in January. The southpaw infamously publicized their split an hour after celebrating the birth of their second child, Henry.
By February 28, Garcia announced he was dating Australian OnlyFans model Mikaela Testa. Not even a month later, King Ryan was ‘searching for a new girlfriend’ after saying he was in love with the model.
Garcia then went on a series of public flirtations as his search for a significant other continued. After gaining virality for flirting with Bobbi Althoff on her podcast, Garcia tried to score dates with singer Billie Eilish and MMA influencer Nina Drama over X.
As fans grew concerned over his behavior ahead of the Haney fight, Garcia claimed he proposed to Australian porn star Savannah Bond and posted a video of their engagement on X.
Bond watched Garcia dominate Haney from afar and showed her support on social media. However, four days after his lopsided performance, Garcia was spotted with another mystery woman in Miami.
Garcia was seen with two more unidentified women before hard launching his unnamed and apparent girlfriend on Wednesday.
After scoring three knockdowns over Haney, Garcia scored the majority decision in Brooklyn. However, after investigating his PED-positive samples, the bout was overturned to a no contest.
He has since been arrested in Beverly Hills, hung out with the Trump family, tried stand-up comedy, played in a star-studded poker tournament, and partied with the Florida Panthers after winning the Stanley Cup.
