Khloé Kardashian Says Kim Kardashian Has A Renewed Confidence Since Divorcing Kanye West
Khloé Kardashian is giving her sister, Kim Kardashian, some praise following her divorce from Kanye West.
Reality TV star/socialite Kim Kardashian recently graced the cover of GQ for the magazine’s latest Men of the Year issue. In the new interview, Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian’s childhood friend — Allison Statter — revealed how she’s changed since divorcing Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West.
Kanye West and Kim began dating in 2012 and married in 2014. She filed for divorce in 2021, which was finalized last year. The pair’s split became pretty controversial, with it playing out in the media through the musician’s public outbursts, along with it being documented through the Kardashians’ reality TV series. They share four children; North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
When the interviewer asked how Kim’s changed since her split from Kanye, both Khloé Kardashian and Allison Statter noted that the “Skims” creator has found a renewed confidence. Khloé explained,
“Not that she wasn’t confident before, but it’s a different assurance that she has in herself. She knows she can do it on her own. She knows the power that she has within herself, as opposed to thinking the power was in someone else’s hands.”
Allison Statter added about her friend’s divorce,
“I know how scared she [Kim] was to do it. ’Cause deep down inside she wanted her family to stay together. And because she was like, ‘I don’t know what life is going to be like on the other side of this.’ I was just so proud of her.”
During her interview, the billionaire businesswoman mentioned that she relies on her Christian faith to get her through any hardships.
Kim spoke about how her faith plays a heavy role in her and her kids’ lives. She said she prays with her children every night before bed, in addition to saying their prayers over FaceTime if they’re at a sleepover. They also read Bible stories from the same books Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, would read to her and her siblings when they were younger.
Kim shared,
“That’s how I manage life. I look at everything as lessons. Things happen exactly the way that they are supposed to and take you exactly where you need to be. Even if it doesn’t make sense at the time, it’s leading you to a path.”
