All eyes will be on the British trio of Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Lando Norris at their home Grand Prix this weekend.
Those in attendance at Silverstone will be hoping to see one of the home favourites taking to the top step of the podium, a position none of them are unfamiliar with. Hamilton has savoured victory far more than his fellow countrymen, holding the Formula One victories record with 103.
His legendary career has not only brought him fame on the track, but also a hefty fortune off it. His net worth, which is significantly higher than that of Russell and Norris, stands at a staggering £300million according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
That jaw-dropping amount crowns him as the wealthiest British sportsperson ever, overtaking David Beckham in 2020. Russell and Norris have quite a bit of catching up to do if they want to snatch that title from him, although they’re also multi-millionaires.
Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate is estimated to be worth over $16m (£12.5m), largely thanks to his $18m (£14m) salary. McLaren’s leading man Norris reportedly has assets worth $30m (£23.4m), as per Celebrity Net Worth.
Norris earns slightly more than Russell with an annual salary of $18m (£15.6m). Both have sponsorship deals that add to their income, but they still fall short when compared to Hamilton’s earnings, reports the Express.

The seven-time world champion has a plethora of high-profile endorsements, including deals with Tommy Hilfiger and Monster Energy Drinks, which significantly boost his bank balance. His influence even extends to affecting the value of other entities.
Earlier this year, when news broke of his surprising move to Ferrari, the Italian car manufacturer’s share price skyrocketed by 10 per cent – an increase equivalent to nearly $7billion (£5.48bn). He’s expected to further increase his fortune in the forthcoming years.
He has inked a multi-season contract with them, rumoured to be worth a whopping $446m (£348m). So, for the time being, Russell and Norris will have to remain in his rear-view mirror, at least on the rich list.
