Megan has sung her praises for Swift, 34, in the past, even once stating during an interview that she was grateful for Swift’s support at the 2023 Video Music Awards.

“Her real name is Tay Tay,” the artist joked, “because when I looked back and saw the clips of how she was turning up, I said, ‘Taylor Swift, friend, you better be having a bash while we up here shaking it.’ “

“She was having a time. I was like, ‘Taylor Swift is so bad, she’s a Hottie,’ ” Megan added, referencing the name given to her loyal legion of fans. “I love it.”

During that VMAs performance, Megan teamed up with Cardi B to perform their collaboration “Bongos” live for the first time. The set came two years after the duo performed their hit “WAP” at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Megan Thee Stallion will serve as host of the 2024 VMAs on Sept. 11.
