Lando Norris was in the hunt for a sensational 2024 Austrian GP win until he made contact with Max Verstappen in the closing stages. The contact was so severe that the former had to retire after coming into the pits.
This has not sat well with Lando Norris especially because he feels Max Verstappen has somewhat handicapped the papaya outfit for the British GP. Norris massively damaged his MCL38 following his crash with the Dutchman.
Moreover, he went on a furious rant during the post-race interviews.
My whole cars destroyed - and these are all the bits that we needed for next week. It's not just a repercussion of what happens on the track, it's everything that now we have to carry into Silverstone and be disadvantaged by.Lando Norris via Racingnews365
The 24-year-old through his strong reaction has made it known that his team will be pushed to get his car fixed while working within the budget restrictions. Norris genuinely feels Verstappen has put the Woking-based outfit at a massive disadvantage for Silverstone.

Lando Norris didn’t get a ‘fair race’ from Max Verstappen
While Norris has shed light on how his crash with Verstappen has put his team at a disadvantage, he has also admitted that he expected a fair race from the Dutchman. The reigning world champion, despite the contact, was able to finish the race in P5.

I just expected a bit more from him, that's all. I don't wanna talk about it too much. I do what I can - I try and drive a good, fair race. It's just not what I got in return from his side. I feel like what he did was unfair from my side. Three of the times no warning was issued. He did it again the final time and ruined both our races.Lando Norris said in the same interview
Lando Norris lost out on a huge chunk of points at the Austrian GP. Moreover, he is also frustrated with the lack of action on the part of the race officials during his and Verstappen’s frequent tussles.
The British GP is just a few days away and keeping in view everything that Norris has said, it will be fascinating to see how Verstappen and Norris would act around each other on the track. Fireworks could go off if the two prolific drivers find themselves starting the race in close vicinity of each other.
