Simone Biles has seen her life turning around like a storybook. Her three-year-old self who partially spent her formative years playing in backyards and being barred from jumping on the trampoline, then getting adopted by her grandparents, and eventually getting married to the love of her life, life has had a thousand forks!

Ranked tenth in Forbes’s 2022 list of highest-paid female athletes, her net worth shooting to $16 million as of April 2024 certainly put things into perspective. If this doesn’t do that for you already, take her waterfront home, or shall we say mansion, for instance.

So, yes, Simone is splurging a whopping $3 million with her husband, Jonathan Owens, to build her Texas abode. And look how the dream shapes.

High ceilings, plenty of natural light, classy interiors, yet packed with all the modern amenities. On Thursday, she soft-launched a gorgeous bathroom that has a deep soaking tub inside a walk-in shower, marbled walls, brass fixtures, and a frosted window for privacy.

One more snap from the series revealed a mirrored ceiling inside one room, where Simone clicked a picture of herself and her husband. In fact, right after coming back from Paris, Simone seems to be completely focused to finish off her home project as early as possible.

According an update posted by her on August 22 on her Instagram, that is going to be very soon. “So excited to make this house a HOME … a couple more months,” Simone had written. The update, posted just nine days after her return from Paris, also had the details of some to-do work.

With a mirror selfie inside the property, Simone wrote “House meetings all day,” adding that she also worked on landscaping, pool plans, and audio and security amenities. With all her effort and love, her house is full of features to marvel at.

And according to some industry experts, apart from style, those have functional advantages as well. So, who calls the shots in finalizing the designs? Looks like we finally have an answer.

An exclusive article by People quoted Simone Biles saying, “Jonathan is very low-key and let me lead with the design and build process.

We feel so blessed to be able to build our dream home. We can’t wait to officially move in and expand our family one day.” Whether or not Simone is doing justice to her home project, the experts certainly thinks she is doing a great job at it.

“A row of top windows above the outdoor patio coverage is designed to maximize natural light infiltration,” stated renovation and construction expert and co-founder of TileCloud, Drew Mansur to Homes and Gardens. “The strategic placement of windows ensures privacy while allowing natural light, contributing to energy efficiency,” he further added.

“These design choices make the home feel more open, less claustrophobic, and let in lots of natural light,” added Avi Ben David, construction expert and CEO of Mulholland Brand.

“It looks like it will be beautiful and spacious with a very modern open look featuring high ceilings that change in height from room to room, giving the house more depth.

The extreme variation in ceiling height and the grid-like design create a different environment and a complementary setting to the function of each room.” Avi stated. High ceilings in communal areas also increase the sense of spaciousness of the place. One feature of the house keeps the warm Texas climate in mind.

Indoor-outdoor living concepts have become popular with outdoor living rooms and more. Simone and her husband Jonathan’s new home also follows the trend.

“The presence of large sliding doors and smaller upper windows suggest a fluid indoor-outdoor living concept. The overall structure is designed to embrace the surrounding views, ensuring a harmonious blend with the environment.

Its indoor-outdoor living design promotes a healthy, nature-integrated lifestyle,” Drew added. The color scheme of the house has also impressed the experts.

As we have seen in several pictures shared by Simone, the exterior of the house is bright white. While this is regarded as a safe option when it comes to exterior colors, experts have a different perspective. According to them, it not only boasts aesthetic appeal but also maximizes space and can even raise a home’s market value.

“The best thing about a white-colored house is that it adds a touch of charm and elegance to any home. There’s just something about the crispness of white that can make a house stand out.

This classic combination has been popular for decades and continues to be a favorite among homeowners,” according to real estate agent Adam Chahl. As we praise Simone’s mastermind behind all these, one statement from her latest People interview does not skip our eyes.

“We feel so blessed to be able to build our dream home. We can’t wait to officially move in and expand our family one day.” Simone was quoted as saying in it. Naturally, it leaves us asking, when will they start expanding their family?

Simone Biles longs for a family, but not before…

After adding four more Olympic medals to her illustrious collection at the 2024 Paris Games, Simone Biles is now focusing on her future as a mom. During a heartwarming appearance on the Today show, Simone shared, “Jonathan and I always talk about starting a family. It’s something we’re both really excited about.”

The 27-year-old gymnastics superstar, who has already made a mark as a legend in her sport, affirmed that she “most definitely” envisions herself as a mom.

Despite their enthusiasm for expanding their family, Simone and Jonathan Owens, a safety for the Chicago Bears, have certain goals they want to achieve first. Simone explained, “We both have goals we’d like to accomplish before starting a family.”

She added with a smile, “Jonathan would have had kids yesterday if he could have.” Their plans include reaching higher milestones before taking that next big step.

The couple, who tied the knot in April 2023, have a shared vision for their future that certainly includes children. As they look ahead, their dream of starting a family is clearly an exciting part of their life together.
