Kim Kardashian shared some juicy insight into one of her past breakups — but who is the mystery man she’s talking about?

If you’ve been watching The Kardashians, you’ll know that Kim’s “fight or flight” mindset has been a significant theme of discussion among the sisters this season. And in this week’s episode, the Skims founder had a candid conversation with Kourtney Kardashian Barker about how her workaholic tendencies stem from years of being underestimated.
“My thing is like, OK, I know people underestimate me, so it’s gonna feel really good to just to prove them wrong,” she told Kourtney. “But it’s like, why? Who cares?”
In her confessional, Kim evaluated this, describing how her constant need to work has impacted past relationships when her partner didn’t share the same drive.

“When someone tells me not to do something that I planned on, I physically get, like, You’re getting in my way, and I will bulldoze whatever is in my way because you’re not going to tell me to change my schedule,” she said.
“I feel like that’s how I would get in relationships,” she added before recalling a specific scenario with an ex whose name was notably bleeped out of the footage.
“Like when [REDACTED] would tell me, ‘You work so much, why don’t you just take a week off?’ I’m like, ‘Get out of here! Take the week off?!’ That was the beginning of the end,” she laughed.
Most Kardashian fans will know that it’s quite rare for the family — especially for Kim — to censor names when sharing information on the show. And for that reason, there’s already a lot of intrigue surrounding the ex’s identity.

For some background information, Kim, Kris Jenner, and all the sisters are executive producers on The Kardashians, meaning they work closely with the other showrunners to decide what makes the final cut and what doesn’t.
According to Ben Winston, a non-family executive on the show, Kris and the sisters usually have the final say on the edit.
Based on pure speculation, I will break down the possible exes she may have been talking about. And right off the bat, we can probably rule out Kanye West, going off what Kim’s said about their split in the past.

For context, Kim has shared that her 2021 divorce from Kanye was caused primarily by his 2020 presidential campaign and the general distance in their marriage.
It is slightly more plausible that Kim may have been referring to her previous husband, Kris Humphries, who — throughout their whirlwind romance between 2010 and 2011 — made no secret of his desire for Kim to sideline her career in favor of a move to Minnesota.

Moreover, because Kim and Kris’s 72-day marriage ended on rather bad terms, it’d also make sense that she’d be wary of mentioning him by name on the show to avoid sparking any unnecessary conflict.
As for Kim’s post-Kanye love life, the most obvious suggestion would probably be Pete Davidson.

When Kim and Pete split in August 2022, insiders told E! News that their “demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship,” so it’s not too far-fetched to speculate that Pete may have asked Kim to take some time away from work.
When they were together, Kim was always respectful of Pete’s privacy, particularly in light of his past mental health struggles. However, she has talked about him on the show numerous times in the past, so it’s less plausible that she’d suddenly start censoring his name unless it was something they’d agreed to.
And finally, we have Odell Beckham Jr., whom Kim quietly dated for about seven months starting in September 2023.

We didn’t see much of Kim and Odell while they were together, so we don’t know a ton about their relationship or why they called it quits in April this year.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight that the pair were “open and honest about their future” and ended their romance amicably after things fizzled out.
Kim never personally commented on her reported romance with Odell, so it’d make sense that she’d want to keep his name out of the show for continuity purposes. But, based on the recency of their split, it seems unlikely that she’d even be talking about him in this season, which was largely filmed at the start of the year.
