Cardi B and Offset just welcomed their third baby together. The pair, who announced their split over the summer, shared that the rapper gave birth to a baby girl on Sept. 7.

”Prettiest lil thing  🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖💖,” wrote Cardi on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos from the hospital.

The main photo shows Cardi holding her baby. Other photos show Offset and their two kids, Wave, 3, and Kulture, 6, holding their new sibling. Offset was also seen holding the newborn to his chest, joking, “I think she’s hungry, she’s sucking my nipple.”

Megan Thee Stallion, Maiya the Don, Yung Miami, and Somaya Reece were among the artists who congratulated Cardi on her baby on Instagram.

Cardi B announced that she was pregnant and expecting her third baby with Offset in early August, just days after she filed for divorce from him on July 31. (The last time she filed for divorce was in September 2020; it was dismissed two months later.)

The Grammy-winning musician has not yet revealed her newborn daughter’s name, although did take to social media to shut down speculation from a fan page that her baby would be named Hurricane. “Who???” she simply tweeted in response.

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” Cardi wrote in her announcement post. “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”

In her Rolling Stone cover story published earlier this year, Cardi explained that the difficulties in their marriage have been multifaceted.

“The part I love is that we really like each other, like a support system. We’re really both each other’s cheerleader,” she said. “We have our own bad stuff. We’re from two different worlds. Sometimes I cannot be … not that I cannot be a wife. It’s just like, my career takes my life. You know what I’m saying?

“My career comes first, then my kids come second,” she added. “And then sometimes I don’t realize that I’m putting so many things before my relationship.” She later reframed this list to place her children first.
