ISIS thugs are planting bombs inside copies of the Koran and leaving them in the street for unsuspecting locals to pick up.
Iranian state TV reported that jihadists fighting with the self-declared caliphate have been using Islam’s holy book as a sick booby trap.
And US military top brass confirmed the news at a press conference in London.

Speaking at the Foreign Office, US Army Col. Steve Warren said: “These guys are disgusting, they have left bombs in refrigerators.
“They have put bombs inside the Holy Koran – we found that on several occasions in Ramadi.”
ISIS have resorted to ever-more desperate methods of fighting in Iraq as the army pushes the group back.
The Iraqi army and Kurdish peshmerga have already pushed its fighters out of the cities of Fallujah and Ramadi.
But they have been confronted with hundreds of booby-trapped buildings throughout the cities.
The discovery of bomb-laden Korans comes as a shock given ISIS’ strict implementation of Sharia law.
Cities under the group’s control have been subjected to intensely-policed laws with the death penalty regularly used for ‘crimes’ such as homosexuality.
The announcement from Col. Warren came as images emerged of bomb-laden Korans hidden in a bush.
ISIS fighters were also revealed to be digging up unexploded World War Two bombs in the North African desert to recycle as explosives.
Millions of land mines and unexploded shells lie across North Africa following the bitter fighting between British General Bernard Montgomery’s Desert Rats and the feared Afrika Korps led by German Erwin Rommel.

It is estimated that their North African war played a part in leaving Egypt with almost 20 per cent of the world’s landmines.
And a former Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia confirmed ISIS cells in Libya and Egypt are using the explosives to their advantage.
Fathy el-Shazly said: “We’ve had at least 10 reports from the military of terrorists using old mines.
“Even now, these things trouble us in different ways.”
