Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 15, followed Angelina Jolie to the promotion of the new musical they produced together, watching her mother interview from afar.

According to ET on May 13, Angelina Jolie, 49, appeared on the Today Show morning show to introduce the musical The Outsiders . This is a project she produced with the help of her youngest daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt as a volunteer assistant. While the star was interviewed, Vivienne stood in the crowd, watching her mother chat with the host.

The MC asked about Vivienne’s connection to the project, the reason her daughter convinced Jolie to produce the musical. The star replied: “The play is about family, about community. That’s also the reason she wanted me to be there to watch the work, and we all hugged when I appeared here.”

She said the script of The Outsiders does not separate from the dark side of life, details that mother and daughter discussed with many emotions. “But in the end, we overcame it, thanks to family love,” Jolie said.

It’s not the first time Vivienee has accompanied her mother to a promotional event for The Outsiders . She and Angelina Jolie appeared together at the play’s opening night in April.

Angelina Jolie revealed that Vivienne was the one who informed her that the play had received 12 Tony nominations – an award for Broadway theater, one of the four biggest art awards in the US alongside the Oscar, Grammy and Emmy. “I just woke up and saw Vivienne sitting on the bed, saying that she loved the theater company, was proud of her work and admired all her colleagues,” the star added.

Hello Magazine reports that Vivienne is now interested in Broadway, often meeting producers with her mother. The 15-year-old inspired Jolie to produce the play after seeing it at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in 2023. Vivienne convinced her mother to meet author SE Hinton, 75, who wrote the novel The Outsiders at the age of 16.

Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt was born in 2008 in Nice, France, and has a twin brother, Knox Leon, and a biological sister, Shiloh, 17. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt also have adopted children, Maddox, 22, Pax Thien, 20, and Zahara, 19. People reported that Vivienne lives a private life and is homeschooled with her siblings by tutors.

Since her parents divorced in 2016, she has lived in Los Angeles under the guardianship and custody of Angelina Jolie , as per a court decision, as she is under 18 years old. Brad Pitt still has visitation rights.
